Transmission Shifting
I tune the transmission to your feel. Bumping up the pressures will help with a quicker shift, and prolongs transmission life. This eliminates a sloppy shift from the factory. They did this so the driver feels comfort, but in reality it creates friction (Heat Build Up) which causes early transmission failures.
Horse Power Gains
This is what most people like to hear, the Power Gains. Ignition Timing is Power!
I will safely increase your ignition timing, to the point where your engine is at a comfortable stance. I will make sure you have a safe tune incase Knock Retard was to ever occur.
Torque Management
Little do you know, this is what is holding the engine back from it's full potential. As you gather from it's name "Torque Management".
When your car feels sluggish, traction control, anti-tire spin, or what ever the case is...I can change all parameters and unlock the hidden features.
Engine Swaps/Security
Did or are you planning on doing a LS swap?
If so, you'll need to have the Vehicle Anti Theft portion removed/deleted in order to fire up that engine. BUT I must make it very clear, doing so has a risk of bricking the PCM! It is very rare for it to happen, but the possibility is there. If bricked another PCM will be required, and Smith Tuning will have to re-charge you again due to the credit system we are on. Please ask for more details.
Exhaust Sounds
Does your car/truck sound terrible when driving down the road ever since you had a aftermarket exhaust system installed? This is normally caused by Active Fuel Management OR Displacement On Demand.
This is when your driving down the road and your vehicle goes from V8 to V4. Yes I can turn this off so this no longer happens, but doing so you'll loose your fuel milage. Gotta give to get I suppose.
System Changes
I can adjust your engine cooling fans to turn ON and OFF at any given temperature.
Speedometer calibration changes are usually required when changing tire sizes, rearend gears.
Does your car shut down at the track early 162km/h? No problem I have the ability to change this value.
Emissions
This topic gets requested often. Some customers have deleted their catalytic converter, or other emissions equipment and components. I get asked to alter the vehicles computers emissions to compensate on the customers behalf of something removed.
Removing anything emissions is ILLEGAL, and Smith Tuning WILL NOT alter any emissions without a Form/Document signed by the customer. At this point the vehicle must be used for OFF ROAD USE ONLY!

Horse Power and Torque
With the technology of the software in HPTuners and their virtual Delivered Engine Torque, I can adjust power gains even on the street.
Now more advanced software using the dyno to accurately measure HP and Torque readings shows us actual gains from previous changes. This is the ultimate way to show the maximum gains the engine can safely produce.
Big Cams
Added performance parts like a big cam, the vehicles computer(PCM/ECM/ECU) doesn't know how to compensate that adjustment to make the engine run correctly. There is certain parameters that needs to be adjusted in order for the engine to operate properly. I can certainly correct this problem. Also getting the most out of your cam.
